The Lord's Whisper
The Lord’s Whisper
A sliver was I in the hand of our Lord.
Calling my name day by day,
He cried out with passion waiting to hear from me.
But my heart was so hard,
My mind so lost, my soul empty,
Trying to find the one who so
Longed to be with me.
My breath grew faint, my heart
Began to slow.
The agony of my body screamed across my face.
The life He so clearly loved,
He feared would go to waste.
My mind was searching in vain.
Satan’s grip was holding on fast.
Bringing my life down closer to his fiery grave.
That night I prayed,
“Someone please hear my voice,
Answer my prayer.
Please give me a sign and show me
You care.”
I can’t quite explain how I knew He was there,
But as tears streamed down my face,
My heart so warmed my life so changed.
The message I would like to convey to all of you,
“Believe in your Lord Jesus,”
And there is nothing you cannot do.
So when you hear a whisper,
Please don’t ignore,
Because it could just be the Lord knocking at your door!
